I noticed a lot of people seem confused about how to find the folders with their screenshots and logs for use in things like tickets at Support. This is a guide for Windows OS users. For Mac or Linux OS, if someone else could add to this thread, it would be greatly appreciated~.
WINDOWS OS
01.
Press WINDOWS key and R key at the same time. This should bring up a box labeled Run. Type %appdata% in Open box.
02. This opens your Roaming folder. Look for .minecraft if you use a .jar file with Minecraft launcher. Look for .technic if you use the Technic Launcher. Click the folder for the launcher you were using at the time of the chat/screenshot that you need to find.
03. (a) For .minecraft, go straight into the logs folder.
For .technic, you must look for the modpacks folder first. Open it to look for the Pixelmon mod folder and open it. You will then see a logs folder that is specific to the Pixelmon mod.
03. (b) For screenshots, simply look for screenshots instead of logs in these folders.
.minecraft
.technic
04. You have located the logs folder for your appropriate launcher! Now please scroll to the very bottom to look for a file called Latest. This is the chat log for your current session. Previous sessions will be before it and are time stamped. Now, just open the file you need to look for the info you require.
.minecraft
.technic
05. Once you have the file open, the task is the same regardless of launcher you used. You can scroll through slowly or use the Find tool to quickly locate specific words or letters to save time.
Use up/down options to find the next use of that word or letters from your starting point.
06. Once you have found the text needed, you have confirmed the file that you require for your ticket. Exit the file and attach it as a file to your ticket. For screenshots, simply upload them as a file for your ticket. Please make sure you include the time stamped information before the text entries to provide adequate info for our staff.
I hope this is an easy to follow guide on how to locate your chat logs and screenshots for use in whatever you may need. If you have any questions please feel free to ask~. And as I said, if someone would like to contribute for Mac or Linux OS guides, that would be greatly appreciate.
